  • Alignment with global frameworks.

There are many global frameworks emerging that outline global goals and targets to improve the state of nature and the conservation of biodiversity. Many of these frameworks are high-level frameworks or goals and provide limited guidance on how to directly measure and verify nature-related outcomes.

The Accounting for Nature® Framework provides a globally consistent and scientifically credible standard for measuring, certifying and communicating the condition and change in condition of environmental assets.

Find out more about how the Accounting for Nature® Framework can be used to complement or underpin aspects of global frameworks such as reporting on the state or condition of nature to underpin disclosures, track progress towards goals, or meet broader requirements of a framework around impacts and risk or ‘sustainability’.

  • Environmental markets, including biodiversity market schemes and Nature Credits.

The Accounting for Nature® Framework can be used as a measurement, reporting and verification standard to underpin and support biodiversity market schemes through a Unit & Product License Agreement with Accounting for Nature.

The agreements strike a balance between encouraging investments in nature-based solutions and safeguarding against the overexploitation of nature claims, ensuring that these investments contribute to positive environmental outcomes.
