About the portfolio.
CO2 Australia’s portfolio currently includes five Environmental Accounts, including the first certified under the Accounting for Nature® Framework (AU00001); a project which aims to restore natural habitat and track improvements in environmental metrics such as biodiversity, water quality and carbon sequestration. Other projects in our Portfolio are also regenerating threatened ecological communities, improving climate resilience and rebuilding landscape connectivity from the New England Tablelands of southern Queensland to the Wet Tropics of north Queensland.
Of the four certified and one registered Environmental Account in CO2 Australia’s portfolio, all include native vegetation assets, assessed by the CO2 Australia Native Vegetation Econd® Method; the first national vegetation condition assessment methodology accredited with Account for Nature. Not only is this native vegetation asset methodology used for all of our environmental accounting projects, it was endorsed as a co-benefit condition methodology by the Queensland Government’s $500 million Land Restoration Fund, and is now available for use for measuring the condition of any terrestrial wooded ecosystem throughout Australia – contact us for more information.
