About the account.
‘Glandore’ is a property located on Wirangu and Nauo Country on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. The Eyre Peninsula region contains some of the largest intact and contiguous stretches of bushland in South Australia’s agricultural districts, supporting numerous plant and animal species that are recognised as threatened on a state or national level. With its high degree of species richness, the region is recognised as being of state and national significance for biodiversity conservation. Ecological restoration of Glandore will reform a large North-South habitat connection in the west coast of Eyre Peninsula and reinstate hundreds of hectares of native vegetation. Informed by patches of remnant bushland and historical records of species distribution, a particular focus will be restoring areas of the critically endangered Sheoak Grassy Woodlands on Calcrete vegetation community.
