The Bendena Environmental Account is located in south-west Queensland within the Paroo Shire and forms part of the Wyuna Regenerative Agriculture portfolio. It covers a large pastoral landscape undergoing ecological recovery through a Human-Induced Regeneration (HIR) carbon project, where historic suppression of native vegetation has ceased to enable natural regeneration of native forest.

The account applies the Accounting for Nature® Framework to measure and report the condition of native vegetation using AfN-METHOD-V-03. This will allow the Account Holder to quantify the change in vegetation condition over time, support adaptive land management and provide transparent, auditable evidence of environmental improvement.

The Environmental Account boundary is spatially aligned with the Bendena Regeneration Project (ERF118301) and will report on the vegetation condition within the carbon project boundary, including changes in vegetation structure, habitat availability, and ecosystem function. It supports management decisions, risk identification, and future participation in environmental markets.
